چکیده

Data analysis is task of competently digging out data insights even if user is uncertain but database systems unable to meet. User’s Iterative interactions with system might be an alternative. Interactive data exploration (IDE) is one such system, supports exploration by incorporating user intention. IDE is key ingredient of many discovery applications, such as scientific computing, financial analysis, Social Analytics etc. IDE supports user’s navigation via query to query transition, via ‘exploratory session’. A session often consists of long, complex and analytical queries, when processing against a large and multi-faceted data, hence consume huge time. Although, decomposing an original query into ‘checkpoint queries’ and materialization can significantly reduce time, extensively used in query navigation. We proposed, checkpoint queries selection in greedy manner considering various heuristics. Although, selection of checkpoint queries and improving query reuse are two key challenges in this process.

Combining User Interaction, Speculative Query Execution and Sampling in the DICE System

The interactive exploration of data cubes has become a popular application, especially over large datasets. In this paper, we present DICE, a combination of a novel frontend query interface and distributed aggregation backend that enables interactive cube exploration. DICE provides a convenient, practical alternative to the typical offline cube materialization strategy by allowing the user to e...

A Solution to View Management to Build a Data Warehouse

Several techniques exist to select and materialize a proper set of data in a suitable structure that manage the queries submitted to the online analytical processing systems. These techniques are called view management techniques, which consist of three research areas: 1) view selection to materialize, 2) query processing and rewriting using the materialized views, and 3) maintaining materializ...

M Aterialization Is a Vailable

The role of materialized views is becoming vital in today’s distributed Data warehouses. Materialization is where parts of the data cube are pre-computed. Some of the real time distributed architectures are maintaining materialization transparencies in the sense the users are not known with the materialization at a node. Usually what all followed by them is a cache maintenance mechanism where t...

QSMat: Query-Based Materialization for Efficient RDF Stream Processing

This paper presents a novel approach, QSMat, for efficient RDF data stream querying with flexible query-based materialization. Previous work accelerates either the maintenance of a stream window materialization or the evaluation of a query over the stream. QSMat exploits knowledge of a given query and entailment rule-set to accelerate window materialization by avoiding inferences that provably ...

Keyword - Based Object Search and Exploration in Multidimensional Text Databases

We propose a novel system TEXplorer that integrates keyword-based object ranking with the aggregation and exploration power of OLAP in a text database with rich structured attributes available, e.g., a product review database. TEXplorer can be implemented within a multi-dimensional text database, where each row is associated with structural dimensions (attributes) and text data (e.g., a documen...
